Over fences, through wheat fields, over creeks and through the woods, Horse ran at top speed. William held fast to the mane wondering when Horse may tire. Finally, he stopped abruptly on the mountain's edge overlooking the village below just as the brilliant sun set. William and Horse took in deep, releasing breaths. William realized he was not the teacher, but instead the student. Horse's essence was freedom.
